Shira was born at 12 February 2008 in the English kennel Gunthwaite and Burncote Rhodesian Ridgebacks, out of a litter of 6 puppies. The pups were so equal that it was hard to choose. But Shira was it for me, because of her unconditional spontainity and her well balanced body with an remarkable bone structure. This and because of her Englis and African roots she will be an asset to the Dutch bloodlines, her grandfather is the well known CH Gunthwaite Action Man.
At October 12, 2018 we suddenly had to say goodbye to our beloving Shira. A hearttumor was fatal to her. She got 10,5 years and she was a very sweet and beautiful Rodesian, with an excellent chest and angulations. Hear beautiful head showed intelligence, which she loved to share with you. She was very affectionated and loved to hug with you. Also she was a true hunter and if she got the change no rabbit of pheasent was save. Than you saw the speed and strength of the Rhodesian in her, But she never caught one. She also loved to swim and she was so passionated in this that she dived into the water, went down under, came up, grapped the dummy, came back, looked at me and asked again? Her head and ears soken wet. In our home she was quiet and she could sleep all day.
